The official Pacific Surfliner social media pages are managed by the Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency, the managing agency of the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. We adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the social platforms that we use, and ask visitors to our pages to do the same. We reserve the right to monitor, filter, and remove any content (text, links, video, etc.) that is deemed inappropriate, including but not limited to:

  1. Comments unrelated to the particular topic being commented upon;

  2. Profane language or content;

  3. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;

  4. Sexual content or links to sexual content;

  5. Commercial solicitations;

  6. Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures;

  7. Content that encourages any kind of illegal activity (including trespassing on railroad tracks);

  8. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public system;

  9. Repeated, unconstructive negative comments;

  10. Comments that may compromise the privacy of an individual;

  11. Comments about LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency or Amtrak employees, which will be documented and forwarded to the appropriate parties;

  12. Content that violates ownership rights from any other party; or

  13. Content that violates the terms and conditions of the social platform that it was posted on (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

The LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency reserves the right to block or ban individuals from our social media pages who do not adhere to these guidelines. 

Content on social media sites, which are not owned or operated by the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency, is not kept or retained by the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency and is not required by law or kept in the discharge of a public official's duties or made/retained for the purpose of preserving content for future reference. Content is not required by the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency's document retention schedule to be retained for any purpose.
