It's nearing game time, so let's huddle up and plan your route to the biggest game of the year! What better way than utilizing public transportation? With Pacific Surfliner and Capital Corridor on your team, you can do just that. Prepare to skip the traffic, ditch stressful parking, and settle in for one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year.
1. Start on the Pacific Surfliner
Your epic game-day journey kicks off aboard the Amtrak® Pacific Surfliner, which connects 351 miles of Southern California and stretches out along the majestic California coastline. With stunning ocean views on one side and rolling hills on the other, you are certain to find beautiful views to take your mind off pre-game jitters before your first stop in San Luis Obispo.
2. Connect to Capitol Corridor
From the Santa Barbara station, you will gather your team and tackle the next leg of your journey with Amtrak Bus Connections. Three daily northbound buses are scheduled to get you to your next stop at the San Jose station, keeping your game plan right on track. And don't worry about the clock running out on you; connections between Amtrak Connection and Pacific Surfliner trains are guaranteed. Simply put, if one service is running late, the other will wait.
Once you arrive in San Jose, hop on the Capital Corridor train heading in the direction of Santa Clara, as it is set to take you to your final stop near Levi’s Stadium®. This is easily one of the best ways to get to Levi’s Stadium without driving, especially since you don't have to worry about traffic or parking once you get there.
A Half-Time (Half Way) Tip: Reservations are required for travel on all Capital Corridor trains on Sunday, February 8, and trains are expected to reach capacity fairly quickly. So make sure to reserve your ticket ahead of time, either online or in the Amtrak app. Get more tips here from Capitol Corridor!
3. Final Stretch to Levi’s Stadium
You’ve made it to the end zone! Get off once you reach the Great America/Santa Clara Station (GAC), and you will see the shimmering lights of Levi’s Stadium beckoning you forward to witness a feat of unmatched athleticism and excitement. All that's left to do is embark on the 5-minute walk to the stadium, make your way inside, and let the game begin!
Sit back, enjoy the ride to one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. Don't fumble your chance to catch the train to Levi’s Stadium from Los Angeles and make traveling to (and from) the big game effortless, because once the whistle blows, the game-time chaos and action that ensues definitely won't be!
Postgame Tip: The easiest way to get back to the train station is from Gate F, as it is the closest to the train station. With three trains set to return from Santa Clara after the game, you’ll want to make sure you catch one of them or secure another way home!
